Frequently Asked Questions

What should I wear?

Our recommendation for clothing is something loose fitting and comfortable. Ladies should wear trousers. Although it is unlikely you will get very muddy, we recommend you wear something that you don’t mind getting dirty

Footwear should be sturdy and flat. Boots, sensible shoes or trainers are ideal.

In the colder months ACF recommend additional clothing such as hats, scarves and gloves.

If the outlook for the event is hot we recommend that guests bring a sun hat (preferably a cap), sunglasses, and if appropriate some sun protection cream.

Do I need a driving licence to take part in the driving activities?

The usual answer is no. You do not need a full driving licence to take part in most of our driving activities. Many of our vehicles’ controls do not bear any resemblance to that of a normal car.

However , we do ask that if you do not hold a driving licence that you bring this to the attention of the event co-ordinator or instructors at the beginning of the event. This helps us know any possible limitations so that we can instruct guests appropriately when they come to use the vehicles.

Do I need to bring any refreshments?

Refreshments will be provided for participants only during the event.
