November 2008 "Drive a Chieftain Tank over a Car"
In support of the Marie Curie Cancer Care Trust ACF Hospitality are giving the opportunity for someone to crush a car using a 56 tonne Chieftain Tank. This on-line auction is live from 3rd November and will finish on Friday 19th December at 6pm. This once in a lifetime experience will be held at the ACF Hospitality site near Bristol Airport. The successful winner will have the opportunity to drive other military vehicles before they handle one of the heaviest tanks ever built to drive over a car. June 2008 " Hold On...do you Love it or Hate it " Recently ACF Hospitality commissioned an On Hold message, after so many comments (good and bad) we are asking everyone whether we should keep it or loose it. November 2007 "Radio station broadcasts from ACF Hospitality" On Thursday 1st November the morning crew presenters of GWR FM Bristol broadcasted their show from the ACF Hospitality site. The reason was enable the contestant of "Tossers" to either win a VIP trip to the Grand Prix at Monaco or lose and have their beloved car crushed by a Chieftain Tank. To decide on which they tossed a coin.

August 2007 "Channel 4 discovers tank driving" As part of a series of short driving features, ACF Hospitality played host to a tank driving experience. This involved driving a number Military Vehicles starting from the Scout Car and finishing with the Chieftain Tank crushing a Metro car. (View Full Video: High Quality 16MB) Pic 1

June 2007 "If you go down to the woods today ?" ACF Hospitality has launched a new experience to the South West, Forest Stage Rally Driving. One of the only courses in England in which you can take the wheel of a Subaru Impreza and or a Ford Sierra Cosworth through a forest race track. With a top instructor at your side you will be taught the basic skills of rally driving in an open field with a Ford Escort. Later you will progress onto a forest track with a Cosworth and finally experience the thrill of co-driving with a rally driver in a Subaru Impreza. With practice throughout the morning and a minimum drive time of 40 minutes you'll be given the opportunity to get the fastest time and gain the title of Driver of the Day. This experience adds to the comprehensive list of voucher activities that ACF Hospitality has to offer, including Military Driving which gives you the opportunity to test out four different military vehicles such an APC (Armoured Personnel Carrier), Snowcat, Argocat, Abbot Gun etc. Alternatively you could take a Quad Bike Safari, race a Mini, skid round corners in a Honda Pilot or shoot clays. The activity company has now been trading for 20 years and runs corporate events not just at their site in Redhill but throughout the country. April 2007 "Reach for the Skies" This month ACF Hospitality Ltd launched a new team building exercise ”The Rocket Challenge”. This has been designed exclusively for ACF by a local pyrotechnic company who specialise in rockets and fireworks. The exercise tests the team skills at leadership, creativity, time management, delegation and lasts for up to 2 hours. During the challenge, team members are expected to calculate the weight and thrust ratios, construct the rocket, the launch pad and design the outer casing with logos etc. The finale sees the launch of the rocket which can reach over 500 metres in the air and then float to the ground via a parachute. March 2007 " A new Cat joins the fold" This month ACF Hospitality took in another Cat. That is a Snowcat, an articulated tracked vehicle that is used by the military for transporting troops over snow. This Cat joins the ever growing number of Military Vehicles available to drive on the purpose built site at ACF. The collection, now totalling 17 ranges in size from a Chieftain Tank to a Ferret Scout Car. October 2006 " A new face to ACF " A new face has arrived in the corporate events industry as Mark Fanning is announced as the Sales and Marketing Director for ACF Hospitality. ACF Managing Director Chris Watts said: "Mark has joined at an exciting time, as we are co-ordinating up to 4 events a day, which can range from tank driving in the morning to a Gala dinner for 500 guests in the evening". ACF Hospitality, near Blagdon on the edge of the Mendip Hills, has almost 20 years of experience in providing that perfect event. The activities that take place on site in over 300 acres of farmland are multi activity driving days including tank driving, quads, pilots and a host of other vehicles. ACF are now operating in over 20 other venues throughout the country providing everything from specialist team building days to It’s A Knockout-style competitions. While the incentive travel division has taken clients to over a dozen destinations worldwide. Mark, who has come from a background in marketing said: "This is an exciting industry to work in as the main objective is to help clients have fun while they bond.
